The Hillman Imp was a British small car produced by the Rootes Group from May 1963 to March 1976, intended to compete with the BMC Mini. It was notable for being rear-engined and featuring an all-alloy engine from Coventry Climax, an opening rear window, and all-around independent suspension. Despite its innovative and refined design, initial production issues and reliability problems led to poor sales and a lasting negative reputation, although it developed a strong following among enthusiasts. Built in Linwood. Scotlend, 440,032 were produced..

These pages are of my Imps old and present.

You may have noticed we now have a an SSL Certificate (see the padlock) so even though we dont sell anything or take any information or Cookies from visitors we are now deemed secure.

This site started off as a record of just my own Hillman Imps but has turned into a pictorial record of as many Imps as I can find, currently we have pictures of over 900 imps and derivatives. Since the site started many people have sent in their pictures which I have gratefully included.

For many reasons the images here are relatively small and low resolution, if you are interested in larger higher resolution copies, for non commercial reasons, please email me, I may be able to supply.

I am NOT a web designer, as I am sure you can tell, so dont expect fancy stuff, I just do what I can, mostly it is designed for a laptop but is readable on a phone. If you notice any thing that does not work like it ought to or if you have any pictures that you would let me include please:
